A number of megayacht regattas attract attention, for good reason. The Superyacht Cup Palma certainly does, with a major selling point being that it’s the longest-running sailing-superyacht regatta in Europe. This past summer, the Superyacht Cup Palma got 26 yachts to point their bows toward the Spanish city’s shores to compete. These included J-Class favorites Velsheda, Rainbow, and Ranger, plus modern marvels like Ganesha, Inoui, and Saudade. As usual, the action was intense, and at times strong breezes exceeding 20 knots made things wild and crazy, too.
